Maxx Crosby, the four-time Pro Bowl defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders, has become the latest big name sports star to invest in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Crosby joins Conor McGregor as being a part-owner of the bare knuckle fight league after the Irishman confirmed his investment into the organisation last year. McGregor has since become an integral figure within the organisation, fronting several media events and being heavily involved in the BKFC event in Marbella, Spain this past October.
“Bare knuckle fighting is raw, real, and incredibly engaging for fans,” Crosby said in a press release. “I have always been passionate about combat sports, and I see BKFC as a platform that not only showcases the incredible skill, talent, and athleticism of these fighters but also brings a unique and authentic experience to combat sports enthusiasts.”
Crosby is a well-known fan of combat sports and is often seen attending UFC events in Las Vegas.
McGregor, meanwhile, welcomed Crosby into the BKFC fold, saying: “I am thrilled for Maxx to join me as an owner of BKFC,” McGregor said. “He is the epitome of hard work and perseverance that is the backbone of BKFC!”
BKFC, which has already announced its intention to hold fight cards in both Italy and Dubai this year, will host its annual ‘KnuckleMania’ event in Philadelphia on January 25, which will be headlined by Philly native (and former Conor McGregor opponent) Eddie Alvarez taking on fellow UFC alum Jeremy Stephens.
